Renewed Collaboration between Airbus and Neural Concept
We are pleased to have renewed a multiple-years collaboration and license agreement with Airbus.
We already demonstrated an application of our technology with Airbus to aircraft aerodynamics at the NeurIPS conference in 2019. Using Neural Concept Shape’s surrogate model, Airbus was able to reduce the average time it takes to predict the pressure field on the external body of airplanes from one hour to 30 ms, i.e., over 3 orders of magnitude speed-up. Consequently, Neural Concept Shape was approved by Airbus’ engineers while we collaborated to accelerate the engineering process, and to generate new design solutions across various design problems in areas such as fluid dynamics, structural engineering, and electromagnetics.
With our recent, extended collaboration, our common objective is to keep pushing the deployment of these new design methodologies, based on deep learning techniques. Thus, the collaboration aims at making the power of deep learning accessible to design engineers, for real-time simulation and interactive design optimization. This will help Airbus in accelerating and improving the engineering of next generation aircrafts as one of the leaders in the aerospace industry.
